Rites And Symbols

How do the one-minded Riverfolk approach allness? We can address this question by referring to two earlier posts.

First:

The Kuang Shi seek allness, unity and harmony through rites and symbols. Thus:

the River = fate;
the Sun = life;
Moons and Stars = the transhuman;
Ivar Frederiksen = the Aenean leader who will cast out the Terrans and prepare for the promised Advent.

Rites and symbols say what words cannot. The River is also described as "on-goingness." The captain adds that the Riverfolk contemplate the River, Sun, Moon and Stars and try to merge with them and with everything else. I would say not "Try to merge with everything," but "Be open to our already existing oneness with everything," but there is no agreed terminology about spiritual practices.

I suggest that, in addition to rites and contemplation of symbols, the Riverfolk could practice "just sitting" meditation so the second earlier post to which I refer is Zen II.
